A Hot Topic Alert identifies trending topics by monitoring when activities and interactions align to create high-impact discussions. This alert is useful for capturing emerging viral topics.
Use Case Example:
Set up a Hot Topic Alert for a competitor’s brand to detect when discussions spike, allowing you to respond promptly to market shifts.
Steps to Create a Hot Topic Alert:
- Go to Notify Hub:
From your Dashboard’s left-side menu, select Notify Hub → Alerts. - Click New Alert:
Click the New Alert button. - Select Hot Topic Alert:
Choose Hot Topic Alert from the list. - Enter Alert Details:
- Alert Name: Provide a descriptive name (e.g., “Competitor Hot Topic”).
- Threshold: Enter a threshold value in the “Type a threshold value” box (choose between a defined threshold or daily average).
- Choose Streams:
Select the stream(s) you want to monitor. - (Optional) Apply Filters:
Apply additional filters to further refine the alert. - Enter Email Addresses:
Specify the email address(es) for notifications. - Click Save:
Click Save to create the alert.
Notes:
- Ensure your threshold accurately reflects what constitutes a “hot topic” for your business.
- For multiple email addresses, separate them with commas (no spaces).
