Smart tags automatically tag your mentions based on predefined filters. Once applied, smart tags enable you to perform tag analysis and compare between different tags easily, streamlining hierarchical tagging based on your objectives.
To create a smart tag, follow these steps:
- Go to Preference.
- Select Tags from the up right menu.
- Click Create New.
- Enter a name for your new smart tag.
- Choose the stream to which you want to apply the tag.
- Define the rules using the filters section for the new tag.
Example:
If you want to tag all comments that complain about customer service:- First, choose the Mention Type.
- Second, select Comment/Reply.
- Finally, set the Keyword Filter using a boolean query such as:
(“customer service”) AND (“complain” OR “complaint” OR worst OR horrible)
- Click Save.
Notes:
- Smart tags apply to data crawled after the tag is created. Data collected before the creation of a smart tag will not be automatically tagged. To tag previous data, replicate the smart tag filter from the overview view and use bulk actions to tag old mentions.
- You can also apply pre-set saved filters to your smart tags.
