How To View Facebook Social Media Analysis

Social Media Analysis is also used to monitor Facebook account performance within your Workspace. To view your Facebook analytics, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Media Analytics
    • From your Workspace, click Media Analytics on the left-side menu.
  2. Choose Facebook
    • At the top of the Media Analytics page, select Facebook.
  3. Select Date Range
    • Specify the start and end dates in the date picker.
    • Click Apply to load the data for your chosen period.

Activity Chart for Facebook

  • Posts: The total number of posts created by the selected Facebook account.
  • Interactions: The total number of likes, comments, and shares.
    • Interactions (Mention Time): Counts all interactions (likes, comments, shares) received on posts during the specified timeframe.
    • Interactions (Interaction Time): Counts only comments (and shares if applicable) recorded within the timeframe, regardless of post creation time.
    • Facebook Likes: Only visible under mention time, as Facebook’s API does not provide timestamps for every like.
  • Followers/Fans: Displays both total and new followers/fans for the Facebook page.
    • Net Followers: Estimate total followers by viewing the last point in the net followers graph.
    • New Followers: Shows a daily breakdown of follower gains/losses. New Followers=Yesterday’s Followers−Today’s Followers\text{New Followers} = \text{Yesterday’s Followers} – \text{Today’s Followers}New Followers=Yesterday’s Followers−Today’s Followers
  • Comments Sentiment:
    • Displays positive, negative, and neutral sentiment distribution for comments on your posts.
    • A pie chart shows overall sentiment, while a bar chart provides daily breakdowns.
  • Comments Sentiment Score:
    • Shows day-by-day sentiment score, calculated as: Total Positive−Total NegativeTotal Positive+Total Negative\frac{\text{Total Positive} – \text{Total Negative}}{\text{Total Positive} + \text{Total Negative}}Total Positive+Total NegativeTotal Positive−Total Negative​ which ranges from -100 (most negative) to 100 (most positive).

Chart Views & Export:

  • Switch between area or bar chart views.
  • Export each chart as PNG, Excel, or CSV.
