General Insights on Lexus Saudi Arabia, Volkswagen Middle East, and BMW Saudi Arabia
These accounts are competing over which is the most interactive. The majority of interactions, 681 to be precise, were received by Lexus Saudi Arabia. Volkswagen Middle East followed with 654 interactions, and finally, BMW Saudi Arabia received 640 interactions. However, the difference in the number of followers of each page and the number of published tweets show that Volkswagen’s content is more engaging, while Lexus’s page is more interactive.
After analyzing these accounts, we found that BMW and Volkswagen are the most engaging actually. Given that Lexus has more than 800K followers and tweeted more than 230 times, Volkswagen and BMW proved to have worked on their content more. Volkswagen tweeted 4 times and has around 150K followers and went short with only 20 interactions compared to Lexus. Likewise, BMW is followed by slightly more than 15K followers, tweeted 54 times, and received 640 interactions.
On the other hand, Lexus and BMW excelled in answering people’s inquiries, which means that they heavily invest in customer service on social media platforms.

On the contrary, Volkswagen invested more on the content of their tweets. In addition to promoting new car vehicles and catching the spark of King Salman’s order to allow women to drive, the page also promoted for an activation that will help people with their inquiries.

The most popular car
We monitored the inquiries of online users to know which car is the most waited-for. Many tweets tagged brands to know more about when they’ll announce the 2018 models. However, many other users were more specific about the car models they want to see and reserve. This chart shows the top 5 cars people are asking about.
Toyota was obviously the most wanted brand, yet GMC Sierra was the most popular car model. Given that Toyota releases more models than General Motors and has a variable price range, it is expected that the page would receive more inquiries than other pages.
Female Users
Now that women can drive in KSA, automotive companies need to keep an eye on what females prefer. When it comes to cars, females and males have totally different interests. We extracted all the content tweeted by female users and we discovered that the theory is right, female indeed have different interests in cars.

As our researched pages were based in and targetting two markets; KSA and UAE, we made sure to also get insights on which brands are the most mentioned in each country separately. Mercedes was the top mentioned in both countries.
